Current projects span three continents
We are privileged to work with a diverse group of clients across government, statutory bodies, development partners, donor-funded programmes and the commercial sector.
Many of these relationships have been built over years, and in some cases decades. We are grateful to our long-term clients for their ongoing trust in Tebbutt Research, and to newer clients who have chosen to work with us on important questions affecting communities, consumers, businesses and policy across the Pacific.
Here is a snapshot of some current projects:
-
a mixed-methods study examining the marketing, branding and promotion of a major scholarship program. It combines desk research, key informant interviews and a mixed-mode survey to understand awareness, perceptions, applicant motivations, decision drivers, competitor positioning, communication channels and scholar/alumni experiences.
-
a multi-country ocean conservation research project across seven markets spanning Melanesia, Polynesia, Micronesia, Europe, and the Americas. The study uses telephone interviewing to understand public awareness, attitudes, support, and concerns around ocean protection, marine conservation, and related communication needs, helping inform future engagement strategies across island communities. Besides fieldwork in the Pacific region, Tebbutt Research is also managing data and reporting for other global markets.
-
a multi-market brand equity study in the retail sector, using CAPI central-location/intercept interviews. Fieldwork spans three markets in Melanesia and Polynesia, with a focus on key urban centres and locations. The study supports understanding brand perceptions and market position across diverse island contexts, combining local fieldwork logistics, multilingual considerations and consistent survey execution across the three countries.
-
a quantitative CATI perceptions study across three Polynesian countries, exploring views on national identity, key local and regional challenges, information sources, and international partnerships. The research looks at how people understand and experience various aspects of life including relationships, education, health, employment, climate response, security and development.
-
a mixed-methods childcare situation assessment using CAPI surveys, focus groups and key informant interviews to understand childcare access, quality, affordability and fit with family needs. The study explores both demand-side household experiences and supply-side provider perspectives, alongside broader issues such as childcare models, workforce, policy settings, women’s economic participation and opportunities to strengthen childcare systems.
-
a quantitative beverage concept test using central location testing with urban consumers in two key markets for our client. The study explores reactions to new product concepts, purchase interest, substitution behaviour, brand/category usage and consumer preferences in the market.
-
a national financial services demand-side survey, using CAPI face-to-face household interviewing across urban, rural and remote areas. The study examines financial inclusion, access to and use of services such as savings, credit, remittances, insurance and digital finance, plus barriers for women, youth, MSMEs and vulnerable communities, including emerging needs around climate finance and consumer protection.
-
a Pacific diaspora study exploring how people from 5 Pacific communities (across Melanesia and Polynesia) view regional challenges, homeland connections, international partnerships and the role of larger players in the Pacific. The research uses focus group discussions to understand information sources, trusted voices, community perspectives and reactions to partnership messages.
-
a qualitative opinion leaders study using in-depth interviews and focus group discussions to explore views on current challenges, regional issues, and international relationships. The research includes perspectives from community, traditional, religious, business and other opinion leaders, with discussion covering information sources, international partners, development cooperation and reactions to relationship messages.
