Pacific Women Report
Part of the Pasifika Research Series
The Pacific Women study is a research initiative focused on understanding the experiences, perspectives, and priorities of women across Pacific Island countries. It provides a structured and evidence-based view of issues affecting women’s lives, both within households and in the broader social and economic environment.
Developed by Tebbutt Research, the study captures insights across key areas such as wellbeing, economic participation, decision-making, safety, access to services, and community engagement. It is designed to reflect the diversity of women’s experiences across different countries, locations, and life stages.
Using consistent methodology and locally grounded fieldwork, Pacific Women enables reliable comparison across markets while maintaining sensitivity to cultural and contextual differences. This allows organisations to identify both shared regional themes and country-specific challenges.
The purpose of Pacific Women is to support informed policy, programming, and investment by providing a clear and credible evidence base. By centring the voices of women themselves, it contributes to a more accurate understanding of priorities and lived realities across the Pacific.
Built on Tebbutt Research’s extensive experience in the region, the study is designed to evolve over time, expanding its coverage and depth to remain relevant to emerging issues and development needs.
